    Minimum salary $50,560; salary at hire to be commensurate with experience

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists attorneys and the general public with inquiries regarding filings with the Supreme Court
  • Reviews and processes filings in compliance with Supreme Court rules and practices
  • Prepares correspondence and notices to case parties and other government agencies
  • Processes memoranda and Supreme Court orders
  • Prepares Supreme Court reports and announcements
  • Manages and maintains confidential information
  • Performs other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Individual must be dedicated, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. Applicants should possess the ability to work independently and exercise discretion in carrying out assigned duties. Applicants should be able to read and comprehend legal documents; interact diplomatically with a diverse group of people; empathize with court users; adjust to unexpected events while meeting deadlines; and provide procedural information without giving legal advice. Applicants should have experience with editing and proofreading as well as handling interruptions and working independently. Must possess excellent written/verbal communication, comprehension and organizational skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

A minimum of three years of work experience in an office environment, preferably a legal setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. An associate’s degree in a related field is preferred.
