Illinois Judges Receive Recognition and Awards

Illinois judges are increasingly being recognized for their dedicated work in courtrooms throughout the state. Here are some of the recent honors received by Illinois judges:

  • Cook County Circuit Judge Grace Dickler was honored on April 11, 2018, with the Pillars of Justice Award from the Appleseed and Chicago Appleseed Fund for Justice.

 

  • First Appellate Court Justice Jesse G. Reyes was honored on April 19, 2018, with the Graciela Olivarez Award by the Hispanic Law Students Association at the University of Notre Dame Law School. The award recognizes outstanding commitment and service to the Hispanic legal community.
  • 17th Circuit Judge K. Patrick Yarbrough was honored on May 6, 2018, with an exhibit by the African American Gallery of the Ethnic Heritage Museum. The exhibit honoring Judge Yarbrough will be on display until mid-August.
