Illinois judges are increasingly being recognized for their dedicated work in courtrooms throughout the state. Here are some of the recent honors received by Illinois judges:

• Retired Illinois Supreme Court Justice Rita B. Garman, retired Circuit Court of Madison County Judge Andreas Matoesian, and retired Illinois Fifth District Appellate Court Justice Milton S. Wharton will be among the luminaries honored on May 16, 2023, at the 2023 Legal Luminary Reception by the Illinois Judges Foundation (IJF) and the Illinois Bar Foundation (IBF). The reception will take place at the Illinois State Library in Springfield and proceeds of the event will benefit the educational, scholarship, legal aid and lawyer assistance programs funded by the IJF and IBF across the State.
