Supreme Court announces expansion of Committee on Juvenile Courts

Chief Justice Mary Jane Theis and the Illinois Supreme Court recently announced the expansion of the Supreme Court Committee on Juvenile Courts (the Committee) to include 15 new members.

Created in 2018, the Committee is tasked with reviewing and making recommendations on matters affecting juvenile law and juvenile courts, including child protection and delinquency systems. The Committee reviews, analyzes and examines the impact of legislation and case law as it relates to juvenile law and procedures and any aspect of the juvenile court process.

The Chair of the Committee is 15th Circuit Judge John B. Rowe IV.
