The AOIC Probation Services Division recently sponsored a Train-the-Trainer Event in DeKalb County. The event featured 22 officers from all over the state, who received certification to be Facilitators in the Thinking for a Change curriculum. Jeff Ross and Frank Morelli from Lake County Adult Probation served as the lead trainers. Thinking for a Change is an evidence-based cognitive behavioral intervention program developed by the National Institute of Corrections and is very effective to facilitating behavior change and reducing recidivism.
