Illinois judges receive recognition and awards

Illinois judges are increasingly being recognized for their dedicated work in courtrooms throughout the state. Here are some of the recent honors received by Illinois judges:

  • Supreme Court Justice David K. Overstreet, First District Appellate Court Justice Aurelia Pucinski, and Cook County Circuit Judge Ronald F. Bartkowic were honored on November 19, 2025, by the Polish American Bar Association for their outstanding contributions to the legal community and the Polish American community. Justice Overstreet was the recipient of the Ambassador to Polonia/Polish Community Award, Justice Pucinski was the recipient of the Distinguished Public Service Award, and Judge Bartkowicz was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.
  • AOIC Director Marcia Meis and ARDC Administrator Lea Gutierrez were named this month by Law Bulletin Media as two of the 2025 Women In Law: Leaders Leaning In honorees. They were selected for their work to advance other women in the profession, being a shining example of leadership, and their success.
