Illinois judges and AOIC staff attend NCSC's National Convening on the State Court's Role in Effective Justice for Young People

Representatives from the Illinois judiciary and Administrative Office of Illinois Courts (AOIC) attending the National Convening on the State Courts’ Role in Effective Justice for Young People in Omaha last month. The event, organized by the National Center for State Courts (NCSC), brought together teams from 43 states and four territories to explore the most effective policies and practices to serve young people in the justice system.

Attendees from Illinois included Illinois Supreme Court Justice Mary K. O’Brien, Chief Judge John Lowry, 17th Judicial Circuit, Lisa Jacobs, Associate Director or the Legislation and Policy Clinic, Loyola University School of Law (also Vice-Chair of the SCC on Juvenile Courts and a member of the IJC), and AOIC staff: Heather Dorsey, Director- Courts, Children and Families Division, Dan Hunt, Director- Probation Services Division, and Scott Block, State Court Behavioral Health Administrator.
