Plead and Pay Traffic / Conservation Tickets (e-Guilty)

The Chief Circuit Judge and Clerk of the Circuit Court in a county may implement an Electronic Plea of Guilty program (e-Guilty Program) upon notification to the Administrative Director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts.

Volunteer Pro Bono Program for Criminal Appeals

On February 11, 2020 the Illinois Supreme Court announced a pilot program utilizing volunteer pro bono attorneys to reduce the backlog of criminal appeals across the state that are currently pending with the Office of the State Appellate Defender ( Press Release). In this pilot program, pro bono attorneys will assist with reducing the backlog by substituting for Office of the State Appellate Defender in certain criminal appeals. This pilot program will start in the Illinois Appellate Court's First and Second Districts and will receive assistance from the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts. Upon favorable assessment of the pilot program, it would be expanded to include the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Appellate Districts.

Name Change on the Illinois Supreme Court's Roll of Attorneys

The Illinois Supreme Court's Roll of Attorneys ("Roll") is a list of all attorneys admitted to practice law in Illinois. The Roll includes the names of lawyers even if they have not registered with the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission ("ARDC"). The Roll is maintained by the Clerk of the Illinois Supreme Court. A lawyer's name on the Roll will reflect the name under which the lawyer was admitted to the practice of law in Illinois or any subsequent name change allowed by the Court.

Certificate of Admission/Good Standing

An attorney certificate of admission/good standing issued by the Supreme Court of Illinois may be requested for an attorney who is currently licensed by the Supreme Court of Illinois. Requests for certificates of admission/good standing may be made online or by mail to the Clerk’s Office.

Certificate of Registration (Rule 721)

Supreme Court Rule 721 requires a law firm that is organized as a professional service corporation, professional association, limited liability corporation or registered limited liability partnership to obtain a certificate of registration from the Supreme Court before engaging in the practice of law in Illinois. If renewing a certificate of registration, the renewal application must be submitted by January 31.

Declaration of Economic Interest Forms (Rule 68)

There are two options for completing and submitting the Declaration of Economic Interest Statement ("Statement") form: Digital Signature and Wet-Ink Signature. Both forms are PDF fillable documents which may be completed using a computer or mobile device. Both options require an email address. Upon filing by the Clerk of the Supreme Court of Illinois, a receipt will be emailed to you.

Court Improvement Program (CIP)

The AOIC's Court Services Division - Courts, Children and Families Unit, on behalf of the Supreme Court of Illinois, is responsible for administering the federally funded State Court Improvement Program Basic, Data and Training grants. Court Improvement Program efforts work to promote the continuous quality improvement of court proceedings in child welfare proceedings and to enhance and expand collaboration between the judicial branch, the state agency, and child protection court stakeholders to improve child welfare outcomes.
