John S. Fotopoulos appointed as a Circuit Judge of Cook County

The Illinois Supreme Court has appointed John S. Fotopoulos as a Circuit Judge of Cook County, at Large, to fill a vacancy that will be created by the upcoming retirement of Circuit Judge Evelyn B. Clay. The appointment is effective August 7, 2017 and continues through December 3, 2018.

Fotopoulos has operated the Law Office of John S. Fotopoulos, P. C. in Orland Park as a trial attorney since 2001. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Fotopoulos worked in finance for several years before earning his juris doctor from the John Marshall Law School. His professional associations include the Cook County Bar Association, the Hellenic Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the John Marshall Alumni Association, and the Chicago Bar Association, where Fotopoulos served as a member of the Judicial Evaluation Committee.
