Associate Judge MacKay appointed to 18th Judicial Circuit vacany

The Illinois Supreme Court has appointed Associate Judge Jeffrey S. MacKay as a Circuit Judge of the 18th Judicial Circuit, at Large, to fill a vacancy created by the retirement of Circuit Judge Kathryn E. Creswell. The appointment is effective Dec 1, 2017 and goes through December 3, 2018.

Judge MacKay has served as an Associate Judge in the 18th Judicial Circuit since 2013 in both Traffic Court and the Domestic Violence Court. Prior to joining the bench, Judge MacKay worked in private practice from 2001 to 2013 as a Litigation Associate at Ekl, Williams & Provenzale, LLC, and served from 1993 to 2001 as an Assistant State's Attorney in the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office.

Judge MacKay earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign and his juris doctor from the Chicago-Kent College of Law.
