Illinois Judges Receive Recognition and Awards

Illinois judges are increasingly being recognized for their dedicated work in courtrooms throughout the state. Here are some of the recent honors received by Illinois judges:

  • Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne M. Burke will be honored on April 25th by the Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth group as the recipient of the Abraham Lincoln Marovitz Philanthropic Award.

 

  • Third Judicial Circuit Court Judge Barbara Crowder was honored on April 12, 2018, with the Distinguished Alumni Award by the University of Illinois College of Law. The award recognizes alumni for their professional achievements and leadership in their communities.
  • First Judicial Circuit Court Judge David W. Watt, Jr, who passed away in 2017 at the age of 74, will be honored on May 10th by the Fellows of the Illinois Bar Association at the Southern Illinois Fellows Reception.

 

  • Cook County Circuit Judge Carole Kamin Bellows and retired Supreme Court Justice Philip J. Rarick will be honored on May 15th by the Illinois Judges Foundation and the Illinois Bar Foundation at their Legal Luminary Reception.
