• First District Appellate Court Justice Nathaniel R. Howse, Jr, was honored on November 2, 2018, at Apostolic Church of God in Chicago as the recipient of the 2018 Impact Achievement Award by the New Spiritual Light Foundation.

• The Jewish Judges Association held its Award and Installation Dinner on November 8, 2018, at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago. First District Appellate Justice Sheldon A. Harris was the recipient of the Honorable Seymour Simon Justice Award while Third District Appellate Justice Tom M. Lytton was the recipient of the Honorable Richard J. Elrod Public Service Award.

• Special recognition awards from the Jewish Judges Association were also bestowed to the Hon. Carole K. Bellows, the Hon. Richard P. Goldenhersh, the Hon. Alfred Levinson, the Hon. Hy J. Riebman, the Hon. John B. Simon, the Hon. Leonard Levin, the Hon. Milton Shadur, and the Hon. Alvin. I Singer. Levin, Shadur, and Singer were honored posthumously.
