Illinois judges are increasingly being recognized for their dedicated work in courtrooms throughout the state. Here are some of the recent honors received by Illinois judges:

• Illinois Supreme Court Chief Justice Lloyd Karmeier was honored on November 29, 2018, as the recipient of the 2018 Unity Award from the Diversity Scholarship Foundation. At the event the Foundation granted 20 scholarships to law students in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.

 

• Cook County Circuit Judge Lorna E. Propes was honored on November 16, 2018, as the recipient of the Judge of the Year award from the Illinois Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
