Illinois judges are increasingly being recognized for their dedicated work in courtrooms throughout the state. Here are some of the recent honors received by Illinois judges:

• Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne M. Burke was recognized this month by Better.net as one of Chicago’s 25 Most Powerful Women in 2019. In their list, Better.net sought to identify the bold, inspirational, determined, and compassionate female leaders of Chicago.

• Cook County Circuit Judge James P. Flannery, Jr., the Presiding Judge of the Law Division, was honored on September 24, 2019, in Glenview as the recipient of the L. Sanford Blustin Award by the North Suburban Bar Association, which is awarded to an individual who has made a significant impact in the legal community.
