Dan Hunt has been named as the new Assistant Director for Probation Services for the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts effective Jan. 6, 2020. He will replace Rich Adkins, who is retiring effective Dec. 31, 2019.

Dan has served as the Director of Probation and Court Services in Peoria County since 2011. He started his career in Court Services in 2005 in Tazewell County as an Intensive Probation Officer. Dan has a Master of Arts (MA) in Counseling - Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Illinois. He currently serves as the Chair of the Supreme Court Probation Policy Advisory Board, the Illinois Judicial College, the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Pretrial Practices and the Illinois Judicial Conference.
