An Access to Justice Listening Tour session was held virtually on September 28th with judges, court staff, and justice partners of Adams County and neighboring counties in attendance. Chief Justice Anne M. Burke and Justice Rita B. Garman represented the Illinois Supreme Court. Chief Burke kicked off the meeting with remarks asking for all feedback, positive and negative, in order to best assess the challenges facing the courts in the Adams County area.

Illinois State Bar Association President Dennis Orsey served as moderator and solicited comments from the approximately 45 people present on the call, which allowed the local attorneys, sheriffs, and judges among many other attendees to speak on their experiences in the Adams County area both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Listening Tour continues virtually with Winnebago County on September 30th.
