Illinois judges are increasingly being recognized for their dedicated work in courtrooms throughout the state. Here are some of the recent honors received by Illinois judges:

• Cook County Circuit Judge Patricia Mendoza was honored on October 6, 2020, as the recipient of the Special Service Award by the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Chicago at the 86th Annual Votive Red Mass of the Holy Spirit at Old St. Patrick’s Church.

• Cook County Circuit Judge Thaddeus Wilson was honored on October 14, 2020, as the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award by the Northern Illinois University College of Law at their annual awards reception which was held virtually. Judge Wilson received the award for outstanding achievements in his career, demonstrated service to the NIU College of Law and community, and professional integrity.
