Illinois judges receive recognition and awards

Illinois judges are increasingly being recognized for their dedicated work in courtrooms throughout the state. Here are some of the recent honors received by Illinois judges:

  • 18th Judicial Circuit Associate Judge Paul Marchese was honored this month as the recipient of the Ralph A. Gabric Award for Professionalism by the DuPage County Bar Association's, one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a lawyer or judge by the bar association.
  • 18th Judicial Circuit Associate Judge Demetrios Panoushis will be honored as the recipient of the “Most Distinguished Greek-American in Law” Award by the United Hellenic Voters of America (UHVA) at the 2023 Annual Awards Gala on October 15, 2023, for his “dedication in the order of protection courtroom as well as his commitment to impartiality for a fair and just verdict.”
