The 16th Judicial Circuit (Kane County) is comprised of the Kane County Judicial Center, Kane County Courthouse, Kane County Juvenile Justice Center, and three branch court locations.

  • Cafe There is a cafe within the cafeteria located on the lower level of the building. Food and beverages are not allowed outside of the cafeteria. See also: Food
  • Child Waiting Room The Children's Waiting Room is located in the Lower Level of the Kane County Judicial Center. It is a secure area staffed by professional child care workers, and freely open M–Th 8:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. and Friday 8:15 a.m. – 1 p.m. The Children's Waiting Room accepts children from infant to age 12 whose parents have court business in the Kane County Judicial Center.

  • E-filing Kiosk In the Law Library, two online public access terminals have scanners associated with them for e-filing purposes. Law Library staff or an Illinois Justice Corps Fellow are on site to assist with e-filing see also: Law Library
  • Food (Vending/Other) Vending machines are located within the cafeteria on the lower level of the building. Food and beverages are not allowed outside of the cafeteria. See also: Cafe
  • Free Parking The Kane County Judicial Center and Juvenile Justice Center have free parking lots for their facilities, as well as being designated stops for the PACE bus system.
  • Internet Free wi-fi throughout the building. There are four public access computers with open internet in the law library. Two have scanners attached. Printing is available at 15 cents per page.

  • Law Library The Kane County Law Library & Self Help Legal Center is located on the 2nd floor. The law library is staffed by two librarians and a library para-professional, and hosts an Illinois Justice Corps Fellow. You may reach the library by phone, chat, email, or dropping by M, T, Th, F 8:30am-4:30pm, W 8:30am-7:00pm. Staff is available to assist with Zoom court, efiling, research, finding forms, and to answer general procedural questions. https://www.kclawlibrary.org/
